8–12g Creatine Daily Since 2023 Next Level or Overkill?

I’ve been taking 8–12 grams of creatine daily since 2023, and honestly, it’s been a game changer compared to just sticking with 5 grams.
For years, 5g has been treated like the gold standard. But realistically, that’s just the baseline saturation dose for the average person. Once you’re bigger, training harder, and carrying more lean mass, it makes sense to reassess.

Great point— eating enough protein and fiber keeps hunger in check during a cut. Curious if others saw similar results.

From my experience, sleep quality changed my lifts more than any supplement. Curious if others saw similar results.

From my experience, adding back-off sets was the missing volume I needed. Could be placebo but it worked for me.

Worth noting: deloads every 6-8 weeks keep my joints happy. Could be placebo but it worked for me.

To add on, tempo control and full ROM improved my mind-muscle connection a lot. Open to feedback if I’m missing something.

Small nit: deloads every 6-8 weeks keep my joints happy. YMMV though.

Small nit: I swapped to an upper/lower split and recovery went way up. YMMV though.

I disagree slightly because eating enough protein and fiber keeps hunger in check during a cut. Curious if others saw similar results.

One tweak that helped me: I swapped to an upper/lower split and recovery went way up. Just my 2 cents.

I disagree slightly because more NEAT on rest days kept fat loss steady. Hope that helps.
