Liver health’s important ..,I’ve been digging deeper into liver health lately, especially when it comes to oral steroids and hepatotoxicity. We all know orals hit differently compared to injectables because they’re processed through the liver. Even “milder” compounds still stress liver enzymes depending on dose and duration.
From what I understand, most oral steroids are modified (like 17-aa structure) to survive digestion, but that same modification is what increases liver strain. Elevated AST/ALT seems pretty common mid-cycle. Some guys say it’s manageable with proper support, others say it’s not worth the risk long term.
Liver health: Oral steroids and hepatotoxicity.
Joint pain is a common concern among people who regularly participate in strength training, bodybuilding, and resistance exercise. Interestingly, some lifters experience persistent discomfort even when their exercise technique, posture, and movement patterns appear to be correct.
Several factors may contribute to this issue, including excessive training volume, insufficient recovery, repetitive loading, individual biomechanics, previous injuries, and differences in tendon and joint health.
Another important factor is exercise selection. Even when an exercise is performed correctly, certain movements may place more stress on particular joints depending on an individual’s mobility, anatomy, and training history.
Recovery also plays an important role. Inadequate rest between demanding sessions may prevent tissues from adapting properly to repeated training stress.
Understanding the difference between normal training fatigue and persistent joint discomfort can help lifters make better training decisions. Adjusting exercise selection, managing training volume, allowing sufficient recovery, and seeking professional assessment when necessary are important parts of maintaining long-term joint health.
Discussion: Have you ever experienced joint discomfort despite maintaining proper exercise technique? What factors do you think contribute most to joint problems among experienced lifters?
