Liver health’s important ..,I’ve been digging deeper into liver health lately, especially when it comes to oral steroids and hepatotoxicity. We all know orals hit differently compared to injectables because they’re processed through the liver. Even “milder” compounds still stress liver enzymes depending on dose and duration.
From what I understand, most oral steroids are modified (like 17-aa structure) to survive digestion, but that same modification is what increases liver strain. Elevated AST/ALT seems pretty common mid-cycle. Some guys say it’s manageable with proper support, others say it’s not worth the risk long term.

I find it interesting how mitochondrial health can influence recovery beyond just the amount of protein someone eats

ATP production is a major part of this discussion because almost every cellular process depends on available energy

Mitochondrial dysfunction can affect several systems at once which makes it more complicated than just feeling tired

I think oxidative stress deserves more attention when discussing mitochondrial health and cellular function

One thing I learned recently is that mitochondria also play a role in regulating cell signaling

It is interesting that mitochondria can adapt to exercise and improve their functional capacity over time

I would like to see more research explaining how mitochondrial changes relate to long term exercise performance
